Case Study: The Seattle Chinese Garden
The Seattle Chinese Garden is a project currently under construction on 4.6 acres of beautiful land in West Seattle. When finished, it will be one of the largest Chinese gardens outside of China, and will showcase plants, stone, architecture, and water elements. The garden will feature 12 buildings and an 85-foot Floating Clouds Pavilion.
To raise the last $3 million needed to complete the project, we pitched the idea of representing individual donations graphically in a blueprint of the garden.

Each time a donation is made, a part of the blue print 'transforms' into an artist's rendering, representing progress towards completing the entire building. Visitors can browse the donations by rolling the mouse cursor over a spot on the blueprint; the donor whose donation 'lit up' that part of the building is recognized with a thank you!
